Academic Photo Shoot

  1. Here i used balance because i have two people on each side of the picture and it also has some a symmetrical balance because all the attention is pointed towards one side of the image.
  2. The subjects in this picture are the 3 students and 1 teacher.
  3. It is clear what the subject is to people looking at my image.
  4. I can clearly identify the subject in the picture however i could have had the teacher be in more of the picture because that is where everyone's attention is going.

  1. Here I used framing by having one person in the foreground to give the picture depth.
  2. The subjects are the 3 students in the picture.
  3. It isn't very clear what the subject is because I am not totally focused on any particular student.
  4. I could have made the subject more clear by getting closer to one student and focusing on them.

  1. Here I used lines in the marble experiment. The marble experiment has many lines in it and it makes the viewer look from one side of the picture to the other.
  2. The subject is the student bending over in the neon yellow soccer jersey.
  3. It is clear what the subject is because most of the background is blurred out a little bit.
  4. I can identify the subject but to make him stand out more I could have gone to a higher angle so that the top of the background is all grey and not the wall.

  1. In your post, I really liked the first and last photo and how clear and simple they are. I especially like how in the first one, it looks like the teacher is interacting with the students. However, i think you could further improve your explanation of the subjects.
