1.
a)
-Sam Adams
- kids on bmx bikes
-composition of helicopter, back of head, kids need to be doing something
- simple silhouette and can tell its an artist

- its pretty and nice colors
b)
-Justin Mott
- emotion of poverty
- to blurry, unusual tools, and they don't think its a story
-blown away by the situation and they love the emotion
-really sad but good composition
c)
-Travis Haughton
-genetic condition
-backs dominating photo, needed captions, looks set up
- good light, like the levels

- quality wasn't very good
d)
-Alyssa Schukar
- a girl with an eating disorder
-the photos use the same lens, they use the same distance, and its a dark feel
-the man sweeping and the baseball celebration
-some of the photos were kind dreary looking and weren't filled with light
2.
- Dustin Snipes
- good color composition, good pictures
- a little to much photoshop but I liked the use of composition
3.
- they look at each of the portfolios that they liked and all talk about good and bad parts of each and if most of them agree that one is not up to par with the others, they get rid of it.

Part 2
1.
I agree with the judges about the photo of the guy on the red sled. The judges say there really isn't much to it other than the view and I agree because the picture is kinda blurry and boring and not very engaging.
2.

I disagree with the judges about the picture of the rugby player because I didn't think the picture was pleasing to look at at all. It was gruesome and takes the fun out of sports as it looks scary. The judges liked it because it was a unique picture but I didn't like it.

Car Raid Preview

1) I will do my car raid shoot in William's car. He has a 2006 Honda Civic.
2) We are going to do this next week.
3) What bizarre items do you have in here?
Do you clean out your car often?
Do you share your car with anyone else?
Is having a clean and organized car important to you?
4) I will write down the purpose of weird things in his car. This could give more insight on what William does as hobbies and I could write a cool story around something interesting that I found in his car. I feel like the contents of his car will tell me a lot about him and his life.
Merger Preview

1) Some of the fence is in front of part of her arm and the shadows from some of her are abruptly cut off.
2) I think the bowie tables would be a good place because there are a lot of places to sit.
3) I want to have one of my poses be completely different than the other 4 to be funny.
4) I think a bright piece of clothing like shorts or a shirt that would stand out.

Landscape
1) Google Maps
2) Photographer's Ephemeris
3) Using a wide angle lens means that you won't be able to capture details in the distance or landscape.
4) ND Grad filter
5) You can bring a waterproof bag, microfibre wipe, and clean/dry clothes.
6) You can find different angles/ perspectives of a landscape and not do the same shot over and over.
7) The subject is much more important because you use your rules of composition around it like rule of thirds or framing or balance.
8) You have to decide what is important/ necessary in the picture and include these but don't take attention away from the subject.
9) Use black and white for different types of weather and cloud formations against the sky.
10) You would go back to a location you have already visited to try a different angle of a landscape. You might see more the second time because you already know what to partially expect.
