I chose the website Fstoppers. The websites intention is to educate new and upcoming photographers with cool stories, news on new camera products, and updates on everything photography. They also talk about different photography competitions that the readers can enter. They write about new apps and gear that can help photographers take better pictures. The average viewer of Fstoppers can expect to see different interesting stories regarding photography and they can see lots of cool life hacks and tricks to take better pictures. I will not be adding this website to my bookmark because I am not interested in camera hacks and reviews. I would however recommend this website because there is a lot of useful information that anyone who is getting into photography or finds photography interesting. I would give this website a 5/5 because it was organized very neatly and they had a lot of cool information and stories that I could look at.

I chose this picture because underwater photography is something that not a lot of people know about that I find interesting. Normally cameras can't go in water so pictures of underwater aren't super easy to take and I like how they have information about this. The ocean is very mysterious and I'm sure many people would take underwater pictures if they could or knew how. I appreciated that they had all kinds of pictures on their website such as this one.

Self Portrait vs Selfie

1) A selfie is a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically taken with a smartphone or webcam and shared via social media.

2) A self portrait is a a portrait that an artist produces of themselves.

3) There is a difference between selfies and self portraits.  Self portraits are created using more time, money, and skill, while selfies can be created by anyone and are much more common. Because selfies are so easy to create, and self portraits take time and skill, there is an obvious difference between the two.

4) I like self portraits more because they often have more interesting things happening in them and they are harder to create than a selfie. Anyone can create a self portrait or selfie but because so many people take selfies, it makes them less cool to see.

5) I don't think one is more important than the other, however, old self portraits that are in museums are more important than some random selfie that I might have on my phone, Some of these famous self portraits stand for something or tell a story and I think that that is more important than a random picture.

Phobia Project

1) A phobia is an extreme or irrational fear or aversion of something

2) -Rhabdophobia- Fear of being severely punished or beaten by a rod, or of being severely criticized. Also fear of magic.(wand)

-Iatrophobia- Fear of going to the doctor or of doctors.

-Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia- Fear of the number 666.

-Gerontophobia- Fear of old people or of growing old.

-Geniophobia- Fear of chins.

3)        For acrophobia, I want to take a picture from a high place because fear of heights is very common. I want to make my picture show how high it is bu going on top of one of the buildings downtown. I think seeing the streets and cars way lower makes people think about how high they are in the air. I want to take the picture while there is some traffic because all of the red brake lights give the picture a rushed and uncomfortable feel. I want to have people walking on the streets to show how small they are because of how high up the picture is taken.

       For claustrophobia, the fear of small spaces, I could have a person kinda balled up in a box or some small space in a black and white picture to make the space seem really small. The picture would be very simple and not have anything distracting in the background. It would be a dark mood without any color. I could have either one of my friends or my sister be the subject for this picture.

       For arrhenphobia, the fear of men, I would have all of my friends gather up and flex to look bigger. This is a fairly uncommon phobia so i don't think anyone would really be scared by the picture but I would do my best to make all of my friends looks as intimidating as possible. I could maybe take the picture from a lower angle to make them seem bigger and more scary and I would have the background kinda blurred out so that there is nothing distracting from them.

4)    For my fear of heights picture, I want to incorporate the sides of surrounding buildings almost as framing to show how high up the picture is.
       For my tight spaces picture, I would like to take a darker picture to give the picture a scary and unsettling feel.
       For my picture of men, I want to make a kind of silly picture look scary and intimidating using a different angle and maybe a black and white after effect to make the picture more serious.

       

Best of 2018

1)

This is one of my favorite pictures of the year because I remember watching this game and how fun it was to watch the Eagles win. I also like how this picture captures a lot of emotion and it makes the person looking at it happy.

This is one of my favorite pictures of the year because I play gold and I thought this was a very unique picture and I like how the mans orange shirt sticks out against the background.

This is one of my favorite pictures because I like the contrast of colors in the picture. I also think that the story that goes along with the picture is interesting.

2)

I chose this picture because Lil Peep was one of my favorite artists and he died this year. He wasn't as big as some of the mainstream artists but most my my favorite songs are his. Listening to his music brings back memories from throughout 2018, especially the summer.

3)

I chose this picture because even thought I don't watch a lot of movies and I don't normally enjoy them, I really liked Black Panther and I thought it was a good movie. I like this picture a lot specifically because it shows the main character in a god like way with the sky behind him and his eyes lit up.

4)

I chose this picture because it was turned into a viral internet meme after Kanye's visit to the oval office. I thought this news report was interesting because I like Kanye and I listen to a lot of his music. This occurred on October 11th and this is were Kanye talked about his mental health and other subjects. I also found the meme that this picture was made into very amusing.

5)

I chose this picture because even though Kelly Oubre (left) isn't the most famous NBA player, eh was my favorite player and he was traded to the Phoenix Suns from the Washington Wizards. This picture is of him playing against his former team. He played very well this game and it was one of his best ever and I thought that this revenge game against the team who traded him was very important.

My Winter Break

1) This Winter break, I played a lot of golf. I got my license so i drove to the course everyday that it wasn't raining and practiced on the driving range. Then on the weekends I played the course with some of my friends. This was a lot of fun even though golf can be pretty frustrating.

2) In 2019, I would like to save a lot of money. All the money I make I want to save to put towards my college tuition because I have my mind set on where I want to go. I would also like to keep up my good grades and high attendance.

3) I am looking forward to being able to drive this whole year in 2019. I finally have my drivers license and I'm very excited to go places with friends.
